Corry's Guest House is located on Lake Fork in Texas. Located on 5 acres
with a nice park and picnic area. The property is lighted from the guest
house to the boat dock. It is in a very nice residential neighborhood, and
is very quiet and safe. Corry's Guest House has a private driveway plus a
spacious, shaded side yard to accommodate the comfortable 850' guest
lodging. An attractive wooden bridge crosses a small creek and leads to
our sheltered cove. The cove funnels into Lake Fork and bass fishing
unparalleled in the State of Texas. Arguably, unparalleled in the United
States. Guided trips are easily arranged, and boat rentals are available
nearby.
What else can we tell you about Corry's Guest House? Tall oaks and
hickories shade most of the grounds. Humming birds buzz our feeders from
spring till fall. Woodpeckers, cardinals, blue birds, finches, doves,
squirrels, and raccoons regularly accept the hospitality of our backyard
treats. Occasionally we see deer in the woods, and there are beaver in the
cove. And occassionally you can experience a bald eagle gracing the sky.
Come visit with us. Stay a weekend, or stay a week. If you come, chances
are that you will return again to the quiet, the warmth, the peaceful
atmosphere of Corry's Guest House.
Other area atrractions include the world-famous Canton flea market, one of
the largest flea markets in the US. The flea market isthe weekend of
the first Monday of each month. Other nearby attractions include historic
Jefferson, Texas, and the aquarium in Athens, Texas, which houses the
largest black bass in captivity. (Caught on Lake Fork, naturally...!)
The cabin has a full kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, blender, washer /
dryer, phone, air conditioning, a hot tub for the private use of guests,
TV with Prime Star, VCR, a 3 1 / 2 acre lighted, private park which
includes a shaded picnic area, swings, a "Texas style" cooker, fire pit,
and picnic tables and a lighted, modern boat dock with electrical hook-ups.
