USE PHOTOS. Customers like to see what they're getting.
We'll put up to 4 photos on your listing.
BE DESCRIPTIVE. Unlike a classified ad in a newspaper,
Southern Exposure does not limit you to a few lines of text.
While it pays to be concise, you want to give as many details
as possible on your vacation rental.
KEEP YOUR INFOMATION UP-TO-DATE. Make sure important info
like your email address, phone number, and rates are kept current.
Southern Exposure will update your information free of charge.

HOW CAN I PROMOTE MY LISTING AND/OR WEB SITE? The world's best listing or web site means nothing if customers can't find it.
Here are a few suggestions that can help get your listing seen:
GET LISTED WITH THE SEARCH ENGINES. Southern Exposure
takes care of submitting your listing to the top search engines.
However, there are hundreds of search engines out there.
Take a look at the search engines we submit to on our
Services page
and then try submitting your listing or web site with as many
of the other search engines as possible.
LINKS FROM OTHER SITES. The search engines and links from other
sites are the ONLY two ways that customers can find you on the internet.
Find sites which relate to (but don't necessarily compete with) your
vacation rental. Many local chambers of commerce have sites. There
are sites on diving, fishing, local festivals, etc. Send an email to
a targeted site and request that they include a link back to your listing
or web site. If you have your own web site, offer to trade links by
agreeing to put a link back to their site.
WEB CARDS. Web Cards is a great new way to bring attention to your
site and get new customers. This company will capture your listing
or web page straight from the internet and put it on a post card
with your own text on the back. You can use these in a variety of ways.

BANNER ADVERTISING. Of course there are always the more
traditional methods such as newspapers, magazines, and radio.
But, we'll stick to the internet. Many sites will advertise your vacation
rental on a banner placed in a prominent position on their site. There are
also many banner exchanges around like
Link Exchange that will advertise your site while you advertise for others.
EMAIL/NEWSLETTER. Email is a great tool for letting customers know the
latest and greatest news concering your vacation rental. Keep them posted
on your latest rates, special deals, or interesting activities going on
close by !

Is it a great time for seeing the leaves turn color ?
Is there a festival or arts & craft show

We allow up to 4 FREE photo scans for each rental listing. Additional
photos beyond that are $5 each. If only photos didn't take up so much disk space!
CHANGES TO EXISTING RENTAL LISTINGS
Updating rental rates, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. is FREE.
We want all information to be as accurate as possible.
However, we do reserve the right to charge a small fee
for making major changes to your site.
