The ultimate country experience at reasonable rates. Nestled in a
secluded river valley in the Arkansas Ozarks, Morningstar Retreat's uniquely
shaped cottages are situated on the King's River and designed to let
nature soothe and revitalize you. Your hosts, Janet and Michael Avenoso,
have built a peaceful country retreat only 9 miles outside of historic,
Eureka Springs. Just one hour from Branson, Missouri.
Come and enjoy your own double jacuzzi bath, king or queen size bed,
private deck and elegant decor. Our family cabin, which sleeps up to six,
has a hot tub right on the deck. You'll find made-from-scratch, freshly
baked, treats in your cottage daily, along with games, puzzles and books
for your indoor enjoyment. Then wander around our 80 acres in search of
Indian artifacts, watch for eagles and deer, or make a splash in the Kings
River.
Built in the spring of 1991, Starlight is a geodesic dome, one of the sturdiest
structures on the planet, all angles and planes. Professionally decorated, it
has a casual country atmosphere, not too frilly, and durable for families with kids.
A farm table in the kitchen will seat up to six people, fully equipped it has
a microwave, coffeemaker, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. and freshly baked treats in
your room every night. Starlight's downstairs bedroom features a double bed with
a wall canopy, while upstairs, in the sleeping loft, is a double bed, on a low
oak frame. For extra sleeping space, the sofa up into a double bed.
Extras inlcude: a nice comfortable rocker, a magical old suitcase filled to
overflowing with "dress up" clothes for the kids, a soft sided hot tub out on
the deck, a spiral staircase, a great view from the patio doors, and a skylight
in the ceiling which offers plenty of natural lighting and the glow of moon and
stars at night. Canoeing and Horseback riding nearby, walking trails, fishing
and swimming in the river.
